Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center houses our three businesses, the dive shop, Gypsy Divers, the service department, Airtech Scuba Services, and the swim school, Oak City Swim School. In the building, we have our own 145,000-gallon pool that gradually slopes from 3 ft to 12 feet deep. Kept at 88 degrees year-round, it’s the perfect place to learn to dive and try out your new equipment!
Our Founders

Gypsy Divers was founded in 1984 by two SCUBA instructors with the gypsy soul. World travelers and divers, they luckily called Raleigh home and set up shop to begin leading trips and teaching students. They’re now happily retired, developing their love of horticulture and spending time with family.
Our Staff
We’re lucky to have the best staff around! Most of our dive instructors have not only become instructors while working with us but also learned how to dive with us!
